Chief Financial Officer
Our client in Denver, CO, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

Chief Financial Officer:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive responsible for leading all aspects of corporate finance, accounting, and financial operations. As a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive team, the CFO drives financial planning, performance, and strategy to ensure fiscal sustainability and growth. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, capital management, and compliance, while providing strategic insights to optimize profitability and business expansion.
Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to define and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives.
Develop long-term financial models, forecasts, and KPIs to support decision-making and growth initiatives.
Advise on capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, funding opportunities, and investment strategies.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis across all business units.
Identify revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiencies to improve margins.
Monitor performance metrics, perform variance analysis, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
Supervise the Controller and oversee accounting operations, monthly closings, and audits.
Ensure accurate and timely financial statements that comply with GAAP, tax, and regulatory standards.
Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance data accuracy.
Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
Develop financial policies for effective treasury operations, debt management, and working capital optimization.
Manage organizational risk assessment, insurance policies, and compliance frameworks.
Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining financial transparency.
Partner with legal and audit teams to ensure sound governance and ethical standards.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive company-wide financial literacy and performance awareness.

Chief Financial Officer Background Profile:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience
Proven success as a CFO or senior finance executive
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, corporate finance, and budget management
Experience leading accounting teams and managing a Controller
Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP, Paycom, etc.)
Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills with hands-on operational expertise
Experience in retail, multi-location operations, or high-growth environments
Background in leading ERP implementations or finance system transformations
