Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
A growing, privately held organization in the Denver area is seeking an Accounting Manager to play a key role in supporting its corporate accounting and financial reporting functions. This position will have meaningful ownership over the month-end close, financial statements, and core accounting operations, while partnering closely with Finance leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalable processes.

Responsibilities- Own and review the month-end close process, including journal entries, reclasses, reconciliations, variance analysis, and supplemental schedules
- Review and analyze financial statements with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Present financial results to Finance leadership and support reporting to senior management
- Oversee accounts receivable management and support cash flow reporting
- Review annual operating expense budgets across corporate departments
- Oversee treasury management and banking relationships
- Assist with audit and tax requests, including preparation of schedules and support documentation
- Review payroll for 120+ employees and assist with internal reporting needs
- Manage, coach, and develop members of the accounting team across AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of accounting staff
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, stronger controls, and increased efficiency
- Coordinate hybrid schedules, flex time, and responsible time off to ensure adequate coverage
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Prior experience mentoring or informally leading others is a plus, but not required
- Comfort operating in an evolving environment with some ambiguity
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
