As part of this expansion, they are now seeking an experienced Controller to strengthen financial governance, reporting accuracy, and commercial visibility across the US business.

The RoleBased in Denver, Colorado
, the Controller will oversee all accounting and financial control activities for the US operation.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial processes, accurate reporting, and strong compliance, while acting as a trusted finance partner to executive and operational teams.
This position will suit a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working close to the business and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Produce balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, A/P, A/R, and payroll.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Develop annual and quarterly budgets.
- Track financial performance and provide variance analysis.
- Support forecasting and long-term planning activities.
- Implement and maintain effective internal control frameworks.
- Safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
- Improve financial processes as the business continues to scale.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP
, tax regulations, and internal policies. - Support audit readiness and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Support timely completion of annual audits.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive decision-making.
- Partner with leadership on growth initiatives and operational improvements.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Certifications
- CPA, CMA, or CGMA strongly preferred.
Experience
- Strong background in accounting or controllership roles.
- Public accounting experience beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with in engineering, construction, EPC, or project-based environments highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Solid ERP and financial systems experience.
- Hands-on leadership approach suited to a growing business environment.
