Senior Associate, Trading and Investments

Obermeyer Wealth Partners is seeking a full-time Trading and Investments Associate to manage daily trade implementation for client portfolios and be responsible for the maintenance and continued evolution of our trading systems. The ideal candidate combines hands on trade execution experience and investment market knowledge, with strong portfolio operations and technology skills, particularly within Orion, Red Black, and Salesforce. Obermeyer Wealth Partners is a registered investment advisor (RIA) managing $3 billion in assets.

• Execute equity, ETF, mutual fund, and fixed income trades across multiple custodians, ensuring best execution and adherence to client guidelines and the firm’s trading policies.
• Monitor and manage asset allocation and position sizing in client portfolios; generate and process rebalancing trades across household and account structures.
• Own day to day use and optimization of Orion and Red Black (or similar systems), including setting and maintaining trading rules, restrictions, tolerances, and workflows.
• Work closely with technology, operations, and advisory teams to fully integrate trading tools with the firm’s CRM (Salesforce), portfolio accounting, and reporting systems.
• Reconcile trades and positions, ensuring data integrity.
• Support the development and maintenance of trading dashboards and exception reports to improve scalability and risk control.
• Partner with compliance to ensure trading activities meet regulatory and internal standards (best execution reviews, trade error documentation, restricted list management, etc.).

• 2–5+ years of trading or rebalancing experience at an RIA, multifamily office, asset manager, or broker dealer, ideally supporting multibillion dollar discretionary AUM.
• Strong technology orientation: demonstrated proficiency with Orion and/or Red Black (or comparable OMS/rebalancing systems) and strong working knowledge of Salesforce in an advisory context is a plus.
• Advanced Excel proficiency to execute and reconcile block trades, build and maintain trading models, and perform ad hoc quantitative and performance analysis.
• Deep understanding of asset allocation, model portfolios, tax aware trading, and household level rebalancing.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy under time pressure, and a process driven mindset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across advisory, operations, compliance, and technology teams.

• Salary + Bonus + Retirement Contribution: $90K-$130K
