Director of Finance – Denver, CO (hybrid role)

• 5+ years of investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or similar high-performing financial environment experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
• Demonstrated financial acumen with a forward-thinking, strategic mindset
• Experience at a smaller, start-up, or high-growth company supporting scale and process improvement
• Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and data visualization tools
• Proficiency with cash flow forecasting, AR/AP management, and risk identification
• Proven ability to translate complex financial insights into strategic business decisions

• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or other project-driven industries
• Hands-on knowledge of job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, bonding, and banking
• Experience with Sage or similar ERP/accounting systems
• Automation and system improvement mindset
• Strong communication skills with an ability to make financials actionable for non-accountants
• Previous success in a lean, hands-on environment

• Build and lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting frameworks
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial models
• Design clear dashboards and reporting to empower leadership with actionable data
• Own working capital, cash flow management, risk analysis, and system automation
• Oversee financial close processes, strengthen internal controls, and ensure GAAP compliance
• Partner with project teams to align financial processes and support field operations
• Guide capital allocation, growth investments, and major financial decisions
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
