Tax Manager

We are a growing tax accounting firm in DTC area seeking a tax manager with 7+ years of experience. We provide tax, accounting, payroll and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses. We serve clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, real estate, retail and many others. Our firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented tax manager. The ideal candidate will become an important and productive member of our team.

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Tax Manager for a full-time position at our Greenwood Village, CO office. As a tax manager, you will prepare and review a variety of tax returns, run client meetings and foster relationships, effectively manage a team of other tax professionals, and lead business development efforts. This position has the potential for advancement to Partner.

Typical Duties:

• Prepare and/or review of moderate and complex business and personal income tax returns, including multi-state and client tax planning
• Prepare and/or review of trust and estate tax returns
• Provide leadership and guidance to other professionals in the office
• Serve clients with a high level of competence and build lasting relationships
• Expand technical and professional knowledge through more significant exposure to new client situations, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities.
• Our tax professionals typically work 40 hours a week during non-busy season, and 55-60 hours a week during busy season. The office has been closed on Sundays.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of tax experience preparing complex tax returns for individuals and corporations
• Excel at engagement management and operational excellence, developing standards in these areas for the firm.
• Demonstrate personal productivity and maintain high levels of utilization and region profitability by supporting multiple industry and service areas when not working in their respective major areas.
• CPA or EA designation. Masters in tax a plus
• Exhibit strong people management and team building skills. Highly personable
• Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex tax regulations
• High level of integrity, leadership and professionalism

Starting salary between $125,000 and $165,000
