Our client in Denver, CO, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer for a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

• Lead all aspects of corporate finance, accounting, and financial operations as a senior executive.
• Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive team, driving financial planning, performance, and strategy.
• Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to define and execute financial strategies that align with business objectives.
• Develop long‑term financial models, forecasts, and KPIs to support decision‑making and growth initiatives.
• Advise on capital structure, mergers and acquisitions, funding opportunities, and investment strategies.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis across all business units.
• Identify revenue growth opportunities and operational efficiencies to improve margins.
• Monitor performance metrics, perform variance analysis, and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Supervise the Controller and oversee accounting operations, monthly closings, and audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements that comply with GAAP, tax, and regulatory standards.
• Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risk and enhance data accuracy.
• Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
• Develop financial policies for effective treasury operations, debt management, and working capital optimization.
• Manage organizational risk assessment, insurance policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining financial transparency.
• Partner with legal and audit teams to ensure sound governance and ethical standards.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive company‑wide financial literacy and performance awareness.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including proven success as a CFO or senior finance executive.
• In‑depth knowledge of GAAP, corporate finance, and budget management.
• Experience leading accounting teams and managing a Controller.
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Net Suite, Quick Books, SAP, Paycom, etc.).
• Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills with hands‑on operational expertise.
• Experience in retail, multi‑location operations, or high‑growth environments.
• Background in leading ERP implementations or finance system transformations.
