Senior Auditor

The Sr. Auditor (Internal Controls) plays a pivotal role in strengthening the Company’s control environment and safeguarding the integrity of our financial and operational processes. This role partners closely with cross-functional leaders to assess, design, and enhance internal controls that support a growing, dynamic organization. In this position, you will lead the execution of SOX 404 activities, with a focus on evaluating control design and testing the operating effectiveness of both financial and IT controls.

Beyond compliance, you’ll help drive continuous improvement—identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen risk management, and improve overall control effectiveness and efficiency. Reporting to the Director, Internal Controls & Internal Audit, this role offers high visibility, meaningful collaboration, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on how the business operates.

• Perform SOX 404 testing to evaluate internal controls and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and/or update flowcharts to document control processes.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify, evaluate, and remediate control gaps, process inefficiencies, and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Participate in special projects, as assigned.
• Support external auditors with quarterly reviews and annual audits by leveraging internal resources and testing.

Stay current on auditing standards, financial regulations, and company policies.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of auditing experience, including exposure to public accounting.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CISA, or CFE preferred; or committed to obtaining such certifications.
• Public company accounting experience

Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment and may be stressful k may require sitting for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and fax machine and scanner.

We provide the base salary range, exclusive of benefits or additional incentives (https://). Additionally, this position is eligible for a 10% annual short-term incentive. If you are hired at Simply Goods Foods, your final base salary compensation will be determined based upon such factors as: geographic locations, skills, training, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that hiring at the compensation range maximum would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.

HQ/OFFICE-BASED:

CO salary range is: $98,000 – $112,000
