Key Responsibilities- Conducting in‑depth research and preparing comprehensive documents and presentations for rating committees.
- Attending rating committee meetings alongside senior analysts as assigned.
- Demonstrating a solid understanding of ratings criteria and financial statement analysis.
- Assisting in the collection and analysis of data for special projects.
- Collaborating with analysts to publish periodic thought leadership articles.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, government/public policy, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a related role.
- A demonstrated interest in government operations and utilities.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, including cash flow and credit models.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients.
- High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of programming languages, data analytics, and experience with AI and automation tools that enhance efficiency is a plus.
- Willingness to learn through formal training and hands‑on experience, adaptability to handle changing priorities and complex situations, and creativity to bring innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven environment while managing multiple priorities with organization and attention to detail.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week. Candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process must attend at least one in‑person interview, ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office, before an offer can be made.
Compensation/Benefits Information (U.S. candidates only)S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is USD $63,000 – $84,000. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
