We seek someone who is interested in contributing to the investment process through trade execution, trade operations, idea generation, and a deep understanding of the market. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of our investment process beyond that of the typical execution trading role.

The ideal candidate will have a background in financial markets, specifically fixed income, and have a proven ability to "wear many hats" and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be comfortable taking on diverse responsibilities and engaging in all aspects of bond trading.

Qualifications
  • A four-year degree or relative work experience required.
  • One to three years of experience trading securities or in trade operations/assistance, preferably fixed income.
  • Some understanding of credit portfolio management, credit analysis, and identifying relative value.
  • Experience using multiple platforms, including Bloomberg, Market Axess, Trade Web, Tru Mid, etc.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in investment trading and/or operations.
  • Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the Denver, Colorado area. We value local presence for collaboration and engagement with our team and clients. We primarily work in the office and offer some hybrid flexibility to accommodate work-life balance needs.
Strengths
  • Understanding of market protocols, flows, liquidity, and comprehension of trade operations and systems.
  • Ability to find and recommend alpha generative ideas from the trading seat.
  • Strong communication skills, internally and externally, with an ability to manage flow of information to team members and in client communications and presentations.
  • Relationships with major counter party trading and syndicate desks.
  • Problem-solving skills to enhance systems and processes and implement new technology.
  • Dedication to discipline, integrity, character, empathy, and service. We seek candidates who can actively contribute to a positive work environment and support our mission.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and accountability, with a focus on maintaining transparency and trust within the team and organization.
Responsibilities
  • Execute trades across various strategies.
  • Ensure best execution practices are adhered to.
  • Manage the new issue process including relationship management with various syndicate teams.
  • Strategize with broader investment team regarding trade implementation, market conditions, and opportunities.
  • Generate new ideas for portfolios and highlight relative value opportunities.
  • Take ownership approach to developing and improving overall processes of the trading desk.
