Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a Financial Analyst for our client (a major electricity and natural gas utility provider). This is a Hybrid 6‑month contract role based in Denver, CO
, offering a pay rate of $34.00 per hour.
This unique position functions as a hybrid between financial analysis and project management, supporting integrated system planning across electric, steam, and natural gas jurisdictions. You will play a key role in managing tactical implementation plans that drive both internal initiatives and critical regulatory filings.
- Compensation: $34.00 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and manage Tactical Implementation Plans (TIPs) using Microsoft Excel to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Track critical project milestones and use RACI charts to hold stakeholders accountable and ensure timely execution across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with Business Area Finance and Capital Asset Accounting to monitor project spend and support revenue requirement teams.
- Prepare weekly status reports and executive scorecards to communicate progress and escalating risks to leadership, including VPs.
- Support documentation and tracking of regulatory filings (e.g., CPCNs and rate cases), ensuring all financial data aligns with regulatory standards.
- Monitor supply‑chain timelines for infrastructure projects to prevent delivery schedule disruptions.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional
Experience:
3–5 years in finance, economics, or engineering. - Project Management
Skills:
Familiarity with RACI charts, project planning, milestone tracking, and managing complex schedules in a matrixed environment. - Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Teams for data organization and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
