Pricing Analyst

SAFREST Resources is conducting a confidential search for a Law Firm client in the following city. Recognized as a leading global law firm, the client provides expert advisory services on significant transactions and disputes. Exceptional teams within the firm specialize in crafting and deploying creative legal strategies meticulously tailored to every matter, regardless of complexity or high stakes. Based in Los Angeles, Century City, Orange County, Washington D.C., New York, Denver, Houston, and Dallas, the Pricing Analyst will be a key contributor in billing rates and special fee arrangement administration as well as financial analytics on legal matters. The candidate should strive to provide attorneys and clients with the highest-quality customer service by becoming a subject-matter expert in all pricing related matters.

The candidate must be very flexible and highly committed to quality in order to establish and maintain an excellent working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.

This role reports to the Pricing Manager.

• Involvement in the Firms billing rate administration for all offices
• Maintaining the Firms rates and fee arrangements database
• Collaborating with the Firms billing department to execute negotiated fee arrangements
• Monitoring internal approvals for compliance with Firm policies
• Performing ad hoc analyses using the firms various data stores and tools.
• Engaging in legal pricing related competitor and market studies
• Completing special projects on various issues as needed

• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Should have the ability to view business issues in perspective, follow-up on projects/assignments and be able to prioritize and participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to work with large volumes of data and possess advanced proficiency in Excel (i.e., formulas, macros, pivots, data manipulation).
• Candidate must be able to adapt to change and remain flexible with current and future responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are required to build and maintain effective relationships with senior management, attorneys and staff.

• University degree
• Preferred fields of study include in accounting, finance, economics, business, or mathematics.
• Prior law firm or pricing experience is a plus.

• The annual compensation range for this position is $60-85k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
