Tax Provision Manager

(Hybrid) Denver, Colorado

Role Responsibilities
  • Leverage technology to prepare & review various income tax provision calculations for the monthly, quarterly, and annual for the consolidated corporate and subsidiary entities, with a focus on technical accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provision process, including assisting with the assignment of tasks, setting meetings, and following up with various team members about inputs.
  • Collaborate with the domestic and international tax team on the completion and analysis of various provisions of inputs, including complex foreign tax items, and assist as needed.
  • Compile and review quarterly and year‑end income tax provision data from the worldwide group to prepare and/or review SEC and other public reporting disclosures, as well as internal presentations to the Head of Tax, CFO and Audit Committee.
  • Review, reconcile and maintain quarterly uncertain tax position accruals, including preparation and/or review of tax position documentation.
  • Review, reconcile and maintain quarterly deferred tax accruals, including valuation allowance analysis.
  • Assist in providing support for documentation and explanation of calculations and disclosures to the external and internal audit teams.
  • Manage the execution of documentation and internal control obligations under the Sarbanes‑Oxley Act.
  • Assist with tax modeling and tax strategic planning projects for domestic and international tax.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize processes, data flows, and documentation.
  • Regularly collect and interpret tax data from across markets to build meaningful cash tax projections and provide tax liquidity updates to the tax team and executive management.
  • Assist in certain technical research projects to support corporate‑level tax planning and other business initiatives.
  • Train and develop other income tax team members on tax provision technical items and best practices and use of the income tax provision software and other data automation tools (i.e. Alteryx, etc.).
  • Complete special projects with various teams across the organization.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax required.
  • 4‑6 years corporate income tax experience, Big—4 and/or large public company experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA and master’s degree in tax or accounting preferred.
  • Experience with tax provision and compliance.
  • Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Expert in Excel.
  • Ability to perform tax research and write clear analysis.
  • Familiarity with Corp Tax and Oracle/HFM systems.
Salary

The base salary range is $125,000–150,000 USD per year; total on‑target compensation includes a base salary and short‑term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
