The firm offers attest, tax and business advisory services through an alternative practice structure, while maintaining independence and compliance with professional standards.
- Provide federal tax compliance and advisory services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle market to multinational companies.
- Participate in tax research projects, draft IRS responses and address other tax authority inquiries.
- Collaborate with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, accounting methods, ASC 740, and other areas.
- Develop and present client recommendations and strategies to leadership. li>Communicate and collaborate with specialty tax practices on state and local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development credits and incentives.
- Grow through on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong internal and client relationships.
- Support the growth of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Participate in social activities and team outings that promote work‑life balance.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, law, or a business‑related field with sufficient coursework to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state of consideration.
- CPA or JD license preferred.
- Two (2)+ years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm.
- Strong time‑management, communication, interpersonal, relationship‑building, collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
- Leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills; initiative and adaptability.
- Microsoft Suite proficiency.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.
The compensation range for this role is $67,880 to $128,690. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
