Sr. Accountant
Denver, CO
Salary: $80,000.00 - $
Responsibilities- Responsible for all aspects of month‑end, quarterly and annual closing including journal entries and preparation of required financial statements
- Produce accurate cost accounting reports as needed
- Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement, or investment activities
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, or reports required by regulatory agencies
- Analyze the financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed
- Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met
- Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Maintain strict adherence to deadlines
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of BS in Accounting and/or Finance (Master’s, MBA, or CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with Net Suite ERP system
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective time management and ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills including investigation, documentation, and resolution skills
- Strong Excel skills including advanced ability with formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
- Solid understanding of accounting practices
- Knowledge of GAAP, chart of accounts, and corporate financial procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment or work independently
