Overview
KPMG is seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice, focusing on Asset Management clients. This role involves providing tax compliance and advisory services, working with a multi-disciplinary team, and delivering high-quality tax service and advice. The firm emphasizes a collaborative culture, access to our Ignition Centers, and opportunities for formal training and mentoring.
Responsibilities- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to pass-through entities and partnerships for Asset Management clients
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to share industry knowledge and experiences
- Oversee a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients
- Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects
- Advise clients and be accountable for delivering high-quality tax service and guidance
- Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and project budgets
- Collaborate with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice
- Minimum five years of recent pass-through and partnership tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university;
Licensed CPA, JD/LLM or EA, or other approved credentials per KPMG’s list; if not initially possessing an approved designation, must obtain one within one year of hire - Prior experience with pass-through entities and partnerships
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and service teams
- Minimum eight years of recent pass-through and partnership tax experience
- Experience mentoring and counseling staff level team members
