Manager, Federal Tax - Asset Management – KPMG US
We invite you to apply for the Manager, Federal Tax - Asset Management position at KPMG US. This role is part of our Business Tax Services practice and focuses on serving clients in the alternative investment fund industry.
Responsibilities- Oversee client portfolios of various size and scope within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate and/or hedge funds)
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external clients
- Manage teams of tax professionals/assistants working on client projects
- Assess tax impact on clients of rules and law changes, develop tax arguments to support conclusions and make recommendations to clients
- Facilitate risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and the budget for projects
- Deliver high quality tax services to clients
- Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing. Candidates who do not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials at the time of employment will have one year from the date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials.
- Proficient in the taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information
