Overview

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT RESIDENTS OF COLORADO ONLY

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FRIDAY MARCH 20TH, 2026 s position will have hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for individuals electing to participate in the FAMLI program and ensure compliance with elective coverage requirements, including verification of quarterly wage reports and amendments to reported wages as necessary.
  • Review claims to ensure wage data used to calculate benefits is accurate and determine eligibility and benefit amounts under FAMLI.
  • Monitor wage reporting, local government opt-outs, and self-employed status; review and approve unreported wages and verify wages for self-employed individuals and employed in opted-out local governments.
  • Communicate with claimants via email, the online portal, or phone; support with wage reporting and program eligibility for elective coverage customers.
  • Assist with wage verification, premium payments, and compliance with wage reporting; oversee program eligibility for elective coverage customers.
  • Participate in an online exam after minimum qualification screening covering Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic support competencies.
Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position, such as determining eligibility for government benefits programs, banking or financial services with a customer support focus, underwriting or self-employment income analysis, or reviewing and verifying tax documentation (paystubs, wage reports, financial records).

OR

  • Education and Experience:

    a combination of related education and/or relevant experience equal to five (5) years in the listed areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with claims adjudication, including wage redeterminations
  • Experience collaborating across work units or programs
  • Knowledge of social services programs or prior government program experience
  • Understanding of private insurance industry practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (read, write, speak)
  • Financial services background
Required Competencies
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims and wage documentation
  • Ability to analyze tax and wage documentation
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication, including customer service via phone and email
  • Proficiency with typing and general PC skills for reviewing and analyzing data in claims and underwriting systems
Conditions of Employment
  • Must be a current Colorado resident at time of application.
  • Must pass a thorough background check including the E-Verify process.
Additional Information

Salary ranges are posted as follows: $28.30 - $41.84 hourly; $2,264.31 - $3,347.20 biweekly; $4,906.00 - $7,252.27 monthly. The unit supports end-to-end account management for FAMLI, including enrollment requirements, premiums, wage reporting, and compliance with FAMLI statute and rules. The position involves regular outreach by email, portal, or phone and may involve work to ensure wage reporting accuracy and program eligibility.
