This opportunity entails being under close supervision and assisting the Planning department by performing basic assignments in the areas including, but not limited to Transportation Planning, Land Use Planning, and Urban Mobility.
Our Denver, CO office seeks a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2026.
Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
What You’ll Do:- Assists project team members with various support tasks.
- Conducts basic research and data collection.
- Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
- Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
- Performs other duties assigned.
- Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
- ArcGIS experience
- Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) experience
- Microsoft Excel and/or Data Science (Python, R, etc.)
- Writing and communication skills
- AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience
- Strong interest in transit, transportation design, and urban planning.

The approximate pay range for Colorado is $23.18 - $34.76. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate nation wide pay range for this position is $21.07 - $39.50. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
