Our Survey group is growing and we have immediate openings for full-time, entry-level, and experienced Construction Inspectors/Utility Mapping Technicians. We offer exceptional opportunities in our Utility Mapping/Construction Inspection areas. Starting wage for these positions is $25 per hour and increases with experience.

• The ability to pass the CCA Traffic Control Supervisor certification and other training requirements in a timely fashion.
• All aspects of the job are to be performed with an emphasis on safety & accuracy.
• Build and maintain a working knowledge of federal and company laws and regulations.
• Field observation including verifying and documenting Colorado Department of Transportation permit compliance.
• Completing inspection reports daily electronically on a company-provided iPad, including Daily Reports, Pictures, Schedules, Time, and Expenses.
• Verifying compliance of approved construction/traffic control plans and highway lane occupancy.
• Utility mapping including survey of existing/newly installed utilities using high-accuracy GPS equipment.
• Typical work hours range from 40 to 60 hours per week, 5-6 days per week. There are no limits to how you can progress with your career at WSB.
• Expectations include travel in Colorado, though most work is within Denver Metro.
• Ability to comprehend written construction standards.

• 2+ years of CAD Design experience.
• Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and navigate terrains associated with construction sites.
• Ability to ascend or descend into job sites to complete inspection/data collection.
• 2+ years construction/survey experience.
• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Pre-employment drug test and quarterly random drug testing required.
• Must be willing to work daily in the Denver Metro area.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Experience with GPS, utility locating, mapping technology.
• Time spent on construction sites, observation or involvement in methods of handling traffic.
• Two-year technical degree from an accredited school in a field related to civil engineering construction or a degree from a four-year accredited college.
• Familiarity with construction processes, installation methods, utility mapping (as-builts).
• Ability to comprehend/navigate State and Municipality requirements as they relate to our projects.
• CAD, Civil3D, or design experience.
• SUE Background.
