Position SummaryThe Civil Engineer, EIT supports the planning, design, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects including water and wastewater systems. This role contributes to technical analyses, design documentation, and coordination across engineering disciplines while adhering to established standards and regulatory requirements.

- Perform water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure design, including permitting, hydraulic design, storm drain systems, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Support site planning and transportation facility design, including permitting, roadway, grading, erosion control, and recreational path design.
- Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and engineering analyses.
- Support preparation of engineering reports and supporting technical documentation.
- Assist with preparation of construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and documentation requirements.
- Evaluate design alternatives, resolve technical issues, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost‑effective, and compliant manner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- 0–5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in the municipal engineering sector.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or ability and active pursuit to obtain EIT registration.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Master’s degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
- Experience with data collection, tabulation, and preparation of scientific or engineering documents.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to perform light physical activity associated with office work and occasional site visits.
- Ability to use standard office and engineering software and equipment.
- Primarily office-based work environment with periodic field or site visits.
- Standard office noise levels with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required during site visits.
