We are partnering with a fast-growing automation equipment manufacturer to find their next Engineering Manager. This is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing concept development through implementation—guiding cross‑functional engineering teams, driving new product development, optimizing existing systems, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:- Lead mechanical and electrical engineering teams
- Own full lifecycle development: concept, design, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and launch
- Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and weekly engineering reporting
- Drive continuous improvement, redesign initiatives, and cost‑reduction efforts
- Oversee vendor/OEM collaboration and cutting‑edge automation integration
- Serve as a technical resource during installation and customer startup
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years designing industrial or semi‑custom machinery
- Proven success leading engineering teams in a made‑to‑order environment
- Strong understanding of automation, controls, and warehouse/distribution technologies
- Expertise with Solid Works, AutoCAD, ERP/PDM systems
- Ability to translate complex engineering concepts into customer‑ready solutions
- Ability to travel 20%
