Your Opportunity
In this position as a Co-op/Summer/Intern Student, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and designers on multiple projects for a range of clients. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
The role of a Co-op/Summer/Intern Student is to perform a variety of assignments within the mechanical engineering discipline under the direct supervision of a Senior Designer or Engineer. Tasks may include preparing drawings and assisting with the design of mechanical systems to support various facility types..

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with and assist Building Mechanical Engineers and Designers
- Interpret architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural and civil plans
- Perform engineering calculations using HVAC design software and Excel
- Use AutoCAD and Revit to prepare HVAC and plumbing drawings and details
- Learn to apply fundamental engineering principles to solve real-world problems
- Collaborate with and support multi-disciplinary project team(s)
- Participate in Summer Intern Design Project with interns of other building design disciplines
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Great work ethic
- Strong motivation to learn
- Excellent task and time management skills
- Able to process information quickly and accurately
- Working knowledge of software programs including AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Education and Experience
- Must have completed at least second year of Bachelors' program in Mechanical Engineering by start date of Internship

** Pay Range:*
* - $23.47 - $34.50 Hourly
** Pay Transparency:
** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Summary:
** Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year.
In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
