We are on the hunt for a self-motivated Engineering Manager to join our growing team.
You'll get to work with a dynamic team on executing transmission and distribution line design projects (on time, under budget and with the highest quality!) including 3-D modeling, structure design, construction package development, routing studies, field investigations and more with clients across the country, meaning you get to learn and employ relevant code across all 50 states.
A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Lead and manage project teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering services that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency in all operations.
- Ensure the professional development of team members through mentorship, training, and providing growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with other management to steer the company in a strategic direction.
- Oversee customer service efforts, ensuring client satisfaction and nurturing long-term partnerships.
- Manage resources effectively, including budgeting and allocation of personnel, to optimize project performance and profitability.
- Contribute to the positive and supportive company culture that values employee happiness and work-life balance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School
- 12+ years of experience in utility work preferred
- Desire to contribute and communicate with small and large project teams
- Desire, aptitude, and motivation to learn and apply new concepts
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required
Lead and Manage Project/Teams:
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission line projects to ensure they are completed within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, providing technical guidance and direction to ensure the highest level of quality and engineering integrity.
- Conduct regular project review meetings to monitor progress, address any technical challenges, and adjust project plans as necessary to meet objectives.
