As a mid-level refrigeration design engineer at Henderson Engineers, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise across six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Within each sector, we seamlessly integrate our engineering knowledge with the in-the-field experience of our sister company Henderson Building Solutions to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry.

• Perform calculations and designs basic to advanced engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
• Prepare basic to advanced electrical system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Perform research and make recommendations regarding the feasibility of systems or equipment. Evaluate products for their application.
• Assist with developing, establishing, and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers in support of business development and/or pursuit activities.
• Proactively seek opportunities for continuous learning and understanding of industry software, including Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Products.
• May support or be responsible for project coordination activities such as managing emails, coordinating scope and schedule, attending client meetings, ensuring project quality, responding to client questions, and coordinating project delivery.
• Acts as a resource for training or assisting others as needed.

Mid-Level

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering preferred and 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience without a degree. Professional Engineering (PE) license may count toward 1 year of direct experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Experienced Level

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering preferred and 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience without a degree. Professional Engineering (PE) license may count toward 1 year of direct experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of previous exposure to mechanical/HVAC and refrigeration design capability in commercial project design, retail, or related markets.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Completion of FE exam, LEED and/or WELL accreditation.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides, and standards required.
