Riot currently operates Bitcoin mining facilities in central Texas and Kentucky, with engineering and fabrication capabilities in Denver and Houston.

Riot is expanding our footprint into hyperscale data centers for AI and HPC clients, and we’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to help shape the future of digital infrastructure. As our Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll be the technical authority for power systems across Riot’s hyperscale data centers. You’ll lead design standards, review consultant deliverables, and ensure world-class reliability for mission-critical workloads.

This position will be based in our Denver office. Relocation assistance available.

• Set and enforce electrical design standards and specifications
• Review and approve consultant and contractor electrical designs
• Oversee UPS systems, generators, switch gear, and distribution
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and industry best practices
• Lead QA/QC protocols and technical audits
• Approve commissioning plans and test procedures
• Mentor engineers and represent electrical discipline in executive forums

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (P.E. preferred)
• 8+ years in electrical engineering, ideally with experience in mission-critical facilities (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing plants, or other high-reliability environments)
• Proven experience managing $50M+ projects and consultant relationships
• Deep expertise in UPS systems, backup generators, switch gear, and PDUs
• Strong command of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE codes and standards
• Advanced proficiency in ETAP or SKM Power Tools
• Experience with AI deployments and LTC (liquid to chip) cooling is a plus, but not required

• Competitive Salary: $140K–$180K (commensurate with experience) + bonus + sign-on equity grant.
