Mechanical Project Engineer

We’re supporting a well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm with a national footprint and a strong presence in the retail and rollout space. The team operates in fast-paced project sprints, supporting high-volume, multi-site programs for well-known national brands. This group is known for developing engineers who want real project exposure early by blending mechanical design, fieldwork, and coordination, with a clear path toward increased project ownership and leadership.

The role blends mechanical design, fieldwork, and coordination and is ideal for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving beyond the screen.

What You’ll Do

• Support mechanical design and execution for high-volume, rollout and retail projects
• Conduct site surveys and field walks; verify existing conditions and utilities
• Run HVAC load calculations and support equipment selection
• Review plans for constructability and coordinate with contractors during construction
• Assist with prototypical designs and multi-site rollouts
• Troubleshoot field issues and support projects through closeout
• Gradually take on more project responsibility and mentor junior engineers

What We’re Looking For

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience (consulting, design-build, or contractor-adjacent)
• Exposure to HVAC systems, load calculations, and construction documents
• Comfortable in the field and communicating with contractors
• Interested in growing into a project-focused engineering role
• Willingness to travel periodically
• $90k+ base
