About the RoleThe Denver office is seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager to lead building projects from concept through construction. This position is intended for a seasoned engineer who combines strong technical judgment with leadership, client management, and financial oversight. The role requires someone comfortable owning outcomes, guiding teams, and contributing to the firm s growth in the regional market.
Responsibilities- Direct structural projects through planning, design, documentation, and construction support
- Act as the primary technical lead and client contact for assigned work
- Develop and evaluate structural solutions for low-rise through high-rise buildings
- Coordinate efforts across structural, architectural, and engineering disciplines
- Assign work, review deliverables, and manage team performance
- Coach and support the professional development of junior staff
- Participate in scoping, fee development, and project planning
- Review submittals, conduct site observations, and support construction phase services
- Maintain responsibility for schedule adherence, budget performance, and quality outcomes
- Perform technical and quality reviews to ensure compliance with codes and standards
- Support pursuit efforts, repeat work, and proposal development
- Provide oversight of project financial health and risk management
- Ensure projects align with internal quality systems and operational standards
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering; advanced degree is a plus but not required
- Active Professional Engineer license in the state of Colorado
- Approximately 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and project leadership
- Background designing structural systems using wood, steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation systems
- Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and professional standards
- Experience with common structural analysis and design software platforms
- Advanced Revit proficiency
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-directed, organized, and capable of leading multidisciplinary teams
