Sr Mgr, SOC Support & Performance Engineer – Frontier Group Holdings, Denver, CO
Responsible to the Director, SOC for ensuring that day‑to‑day operations comply with regulatory and company requirements regarding aircraft performance and flight planning. Serves as the primary subject‑matter expert in all areas of aircraft performance, weight and balance, and is expected to take leadership responsibility for large, new and continuing SOC projects such as fuel tankering, cost‑index usage, and weight and balance database development and maintenance.
Provides ongoing support to Marketing/Planning by supplying payload/range capabilities of the fleet for strategic market evaluations and market planning. Performs new station opening analysis for Dispatch operations and performance requirements, monitors and assesses airport construction initiatives for impact on payload performance and operational safety, and manages operational changes/improvements to SOC and Flight Operations procedures, policies and processes that reduce expense, improve the operation, and guarantee ongoing regulatory compliance.
Calculates weight changes and re‑weighs for the Frontier fleet; updates the required systems and manuals. Acts as the airline’s focal point with the Aero Data aircraft performance vendor, serves as the Aero Data system administrator, and oversees the development and maintenance of navigation and performance data for the flight planning system. Manages aircraft inductions and exits with flight planning and operations management systems, and monitors aircraft performance characteristics, fuel burn degradation, fuel tankering/cost‑index initiatives, and aircraft valuation data for management.
Serves as primary Frontier subject‑matter expert for all One Engine Inoperative (OEI) procedure development and maintenance, performs hazard identification and safety risk assessment, and advises upper management on the performance of the SMS and any need for improvement.
QualificationsB.S. in Aeronautical Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Management, or combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of a degree. 5+ years of experience in a technical, aviation‑related field, with 3+ years of management or leadership experience. Prior experience working with flight planning systems and aviation service vendors is required. FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certificate preferred. Airbus Performance Engineering certification or equivalent experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations, especially those relating to dispatch operations, detailed knowledge of Part 25, jet performance, navigation and weight‑and‑balance, aeronautical navigation charts and terms. Excellent computer skills, including Excel and SQL (preferred); basic to intermediate programming skills preferred.

Centralized Load Planning salary range: $100,104 – $132,870.
