Company Overview

An employee-owned, nationally recognized environmental engineering firm specializing exclusively in water, wastewater, stormwater, and recycled water systems. We support municipal clients in the planning, design, and delivery of resilient water infrastructure—from master planning and hydraulic modeling to treatment optimization and system upgrades.

Role Overview

Seeking a Project Manager with strong expertise in water and wastewater system planning. The role centers on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, master planning, and client-supported system improvements across municipal utility networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead development of traditional and integrated master plans for water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities
  • Conduct detailed data analyses: sanitary/storm flows, water demand forecasting, hydraulic conditions
  • Perform system modeling (Autodesk Ino Viz, XPSWMM, Bentley, DHI MIKE or equivalent)
  • Draft conceptual site plans, technical memoranda, cost estimates, and regulatory deliverables
  • Support permitting, alternatives analyses, and feasibility studies
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical leadership in modeling and planning efforts
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships; assist with proposal development and project scope definition
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 7–15 years of relevant experience in system modeling, utility planning, and engineering project management
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required or eligible for reciprocity
  • Proficiency with GIS, CAD, Word, Excel, and hydraulic modeling tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at engaging clients and cross-functional teams
  • Highly motivated, creative, and able to manage multiple concurrent projects independently

Preferred Credentials: Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Business Administration

Compensation and Benefits
  • Estimated base salary range: $125,000 – $195,000/year, based on experience, credentials, and location
  • Benefits include: paid holidays, PTO, health/dental insurance, life/disability, FSA/HSA, tuition support, 401(k) matching, professional-licensure bonuses, referral incentives, and flexible work options
