Description
The Environmental Site and Conveyance Project Manager holds full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating civil engineering project assignments related to water and wastewater treatment plant site work and conveyance. This role manages a team of engineers to develop design solutions for projects with unique site challenges, overseeing site drainage, grading, utility design, and municipal review processes in Colorado.
Supervision is primarily project-based, with broad objectives and limits. Typically, candidates should have approximately 10 to 15 years of experience.
Example Responsibilities & Activities
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct site and conveyance projects of various sizes in a supervisory capacity.
- Lead project engineering design and details.
- Supervise engineering and support personnel; assign and schedule work; organize team meetings.
- Coordinate schedules and resources with other Project Managers.
- Lead project budgeting and staffing.
- Generate and finalize client contracts for projects under responsibility.
- Review billing and assist with accounts receivable collection.
- Promote and enforce JVA’s QA/QC culture, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews and assist in design/planning/review of engineering projects.
- Coordinate Construction Administration services; review Change Orders and liaise with Principal.
- Lead local agency reviews for projects.
- Manage projects of considerable scope and serve as a technical specialist, staying updated on new methods and developments.
- Manage select clients and develop new clients within the area of expertise.
- Perform marketing activities in coordination with Principals or Discipline Managers.
- Prepare proposals and negotiate project fees with Principals.
Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000

Preferred Competencies
- Ability to obtain P.E. License within one year of hire:
Must have sufficient education and experience to qualify for licensure in Colorado within one year. - Software Utilization:
Demonstrated expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and MS Office for overseeing construction drawing preparation.
