Creep Fatigue - Engineer, Structural Integrity Associates
• Denver, CO, United States

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SIA) is seeking a mechanical or materials engineer to join our Nuclear Fatigue Management team, based remotely or in one of our office locations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support various projects in fatigue analysis, creep fatigue interaction, stress analysis, and software design and testing.
  • Interact with clients to provide engineering solutions, results, and analyses.
  • Contribute to proposals for project development and scoping.
Required Skills/Qualifications
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Materials Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the following fields:
    • Operation of Nuclear Plant Systems.
    • Design Engineering (Construction Codes: ASME Section III Code – Stress and Fatigue Analysis).
    • Programs Engineering, including Inservice Inspection and License Renewal (Initial and Subsequent).
    • EPRI awareness in Materials Programs (MRP, BWRVIP).
    • Materials Degradation (higher temperature mechanisms, creep, fatigue, environmentally assisted fatigue).
    • Experience with the Domestic US Commercial Nuclear Fleet Reactor Design (PWR/BWR).
    • Computer Programming (ANSYS SimAI, Python).
  • Experience with NRC regulations and business protocol.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations.
Desired Skills/Qualifications
  • MS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering and/or Materials Engineering.
  • Experience in the following fields:
    • Design Engineering (ASME Section III Div
      5).
    • Active ASME Code Committee membership and engagement.
    • Knowledge of new advanced nuclear reactor design.
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA) capability.
  • PE license.
Pay Range

The expected salary range for this role is $76,000 - $128,760 in Denver, CO and $88,320 - $150,840 in San Jose, CA. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience.
