Civil Engineer

A well-established firm in Columbia, SC is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in site civil land development and possess a passion for creating innovative solutions for land development projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and gain hands‑on experience in the field.

• Assist in the design and development of site civil projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to complete project designs and plans
• Prepare and review civil engineering drawings, specifications, and reports
• Ensure designs meet local, state, and federal regulations
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project
• Assist with project coordination and site visits as needed
• Participate in the development of construction cost estimates and schedules

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification required (must have plans to obtain PE licensure)
• Ideally 2 to 7 years of experience in site civil land development or related field
• Proficiency in civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
• Strong understanding of site development and land planning
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
