Space Technical Recruiter @ EVONA | 100+ engineers placed into pioneering space companies across the US | Helping scale mission-critical teams 🚀 The Mission
You will be building next-generation spacecraft infrastructure that turns orbit into a repeatable, reliable environment, not a one-way mission. The focus is reusability, rapid turnaround, and hardware that can fly, return, refurbish, and fly again.
The RoleThis is a hands-on structures role owning spacecraft primary and secondary structures end to end. Design, analyse, build, test, iterate. No silos, no hand-offs.
You’ll take a novel spacecraft structure from concept through flight and reflight, working closely with technical leadership in a fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Do- Design and analyse lightweight metallic and composite structures
- Own vehicle layout, interfaces, and structural trade studies
- Deliver FEM for launch provider and vehicle-level analysis
- Support integration, test, GSE design, and qualification
- Define test requirements for qualification and acceptance
- Work directly with vendors, partners, and stakeholders
- 8+ years in spacecraft, launch, or re-entry structures
- Proven ownership of flight hardware from concept to delivery
- Strong FEA capability (static, dynamic, transient)
- Hands‑on build, integration, and test experience
- Excellent fundamentals in structures, materials, and manufacturing
- Confident with GD&T and 3D CAD (NX preferred)
- Reusable or hot structures
- Fatigue and composites
- Startup or early‑stage environments
- First‑of‑its‑kind reusable spacecraft hardware
- Real ownership and technical autonomy
- High impact work with visible outcomes
- Small, elite team tackling hard problems fast
