Job Description- Apply advanced environmental science expertise, with specialized knowledge in chemistry, industrial hygiene, and biological sciences.
- Lead project teams to address client Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) concerns and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Develop and write technical proposals and detailed scopes of work for EH&S projects.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and resource requirements.
- Travel by air, sea, or land on short notice to reach project sites as needed.
- Obtain and maintain multi-state licenses and national certifications for mold, lead, and asbestos disciplines.
- Collaborate with management on staffing needs and provide leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development and client retention.
- Conductquality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews of project reports as part of a peer review team.
- Prepare technical studies and reports in accordance with standard formats and procedures.
- Investigate, assess, and document environmental, health, and safety conditions; conduct research and planning to support comprehensive reporting.
- Remain flexible and available to work extended hours during emergency response events or urgent client needs.
- Monitor and review time and expenses associated with managed projects.
- Oversee environmental consulting staff assigned to projects, including employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Execute supervisory duties in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Responsibilities include training, task assignment, performance oversight, conflict resolution, and collaboration with internal teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Geology, or Engineering
- Valid Driver’s License
- Eligible for a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-Hour Annual Refresher
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant EH&S or environmental consulting experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Recognized subject matter expertise across multiple scientific disciplines
- Proven project management capabilities, including strong time management
- Results-oriented leadership with a focus on team performance and outcomes
- Sound business judgment and decision-making skills
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical practice
- Excellent client relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage projects within budget
- Office or field environment will be where work is performed.
- Wet or humid conditions may be encountered during fieldwork with high ambient temperatures in the summer or cold ambient temperatures in the winter.
- Able to work in elevated areas with fall protection equipment.
- Noisy environments may be encountered with the need for hearing protection.
- High levels of personal protective equipment may be required at various times, depending on the client’s location and hazards present. A full yearly physical examination will be performed by an occupational physician to ensure that personal protective equipment, where necessary, can be worn and the employee is medically fit for the required fieldwork.
