Job TitleBridge Inspection Team Leader / Engineer IV

Job DescriptionLead and perform routine, in-depth, fracture‑critical, tunnel, and canal inspections using snooper trucks, bucket trucks, boats, and man lifts. The role may also include bridge design work and related tasks, requiring a solid understanding of state, regional, and municipal standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, conduct, and supervise bridge and tunnel inspections.
- Use appropriate equipment (snooper trucks, bucket trucks, boats, man lifts) to assess structural integrity.
- Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports.
- Assist with bridge design tasks as needed and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree with 6 years of experience, or equivalent experience and/or education.
- Valid DMV license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of bridge inspection and/or bridge design experience.
- PE license highly preferred.
- Experience with AASHTOWare Bridge Rating (BrR) and Bridge Management systems.
- Hold FHWA certifications: NHI-130055 Safety Inspection of In‑Service Bridges, NHI-130078 Fracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges, and NHI-130110 Tunnel Safety Inspection.
- Proficiency operating snooper trucks, bucket trucks, and man lifts.
