E&C Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates. Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes.

Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.

• Experience with cradle to crave (project management) experience
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment like a power plant
• Has taken the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam or would like to (preferred, not required)
• Previous experience managing contractors
• Experience with project management and project plan development, charters, managing budgets
• Good with managing money
• Requires a bachelor’s in engineering, no specific discipline, as long as it’s related to work performed at the plant (mechanical/electrical/civil)
• Willing to consider other engineering fields as well

2+ years of experience. Requires a bachelor’s in engineering, no specific discipline, if it’s related to work performed at the plant (mechanical/electrical/civil).

It is a plus if would like to see that this resource has taken/passed the FE exam (Fundamentals of Engineering) or has an interest in doing so.
