Responsibilities
  • Assist project engineers and senior engineers in water resources projects. Examples include watershed assessments, water supply long-term planning, floodplain analysis, and high-level water resources studies.
  • Field and desktop data collection.
  • Hydrologic analysis and model development.
  • One- and two-dimensional hydraulic analysis and model development.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations.
  • Environmental permitting support. Technical report development.
  • Development of visual aids for client and stakeholder presentations.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Basic knowledge of industry standard software, including Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments successfully
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task
  • Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must
