As a Mechanical Construction Administration Specialist with Swanson Rink, you will play an integral role as an extension of our mechanical design team. You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Senior Engineers to ensure that our projects are constructed as designed.

Job Responsibilities
- Track and close out all construction‑related submittals and requests for information (RFIs) with Project Managers and engineering leads.
- Act as liaison between contractor and design team during construction administration to address questions regarding design and/or field conditions prior to items being memorialized into an RFI.
- Review and answer contractor RFIs related to mechanical and plumbing design elements.
- Review contractor submittals related to mechanical and plumbing elements and compare against design standards.
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, codes, regulations, plans, details, and specifications; author reports and business correspondence.
- Conduct site visits based on on‑site progress.
- Observe work in progress and issue reports to the Contractor and Project Team to identify general progress, contract schedule compliance, and construction document deviations.
- Participate in commissioning planning as needed.
- Peer‑review design documents, schematics, and specification sheets as part of the quality‑control process for upcoming projects.
- Evaluate the construction‑administration process and implement improvements such as project consistencies, close‑out procedures, technology, and QA/QC procedures.
- Assist in mentoring junior staff in construction‑administration best practices and maintain strong, productive team relationships.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management plus a minimum of five years of experience in design engineering or construction, with experience in mechanical and plumbing disciplines.
- Construction experience in lieu of an engineering degree will be considered.
- Experience with hyperscale data‑center construction projects is a plus.
- Available to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Must pass background checks, security screenings, or drug testing as required by clients and/or federal contracts.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Salary: $85,000 – $130,000, based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
