Overview
VEGA Americas has an opening for a Field Service Technical Support person. This position will regularly travel to client sites around the Denver market ~50% and overnight travel outside the Denver, CO market up to 50% at times.
Responsibilities- Install new or modified equipment at customer facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications.
- Prepare radioactive material for shipment.
- Review performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, inspect malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.
- Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.
- Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Submit complete service reports for customer invoicing and submit expense reports within company policy guidelines.
- Analyze reports of technical problems to determine trends and recommend modifications to eliminate future problems.
- Develop service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations and engineering changes.
- Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to ensure effective service.
- Conduct training on Radiation Safety and the safe operation of the equipment for trainees, including team members and customers.
- Associate's degree (A.A.) in Electronics Technology or equivalent
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver's License and driving record permitting rental of vehicles
- Personal credit card with ample credit to cover travel expenses
- Radiation Safety Certification
- Employee must submit to periodic drug screens
$55,000 - $85,000 USD
