Job SummaryThe Program Manager oversees all aspects of the PUENTE Pipeline Pre-nursing program. This role contributes to Regis student support and retention through implementing a cohort-based program that begins the summer prior to the first year for pre-nursing students and continues through strategy classes, mentoring, and STEM support through to graduation and placement. The work of this position is framed by Regis University's commitment to upholding Jesuit principles of walking with the marginalized and honoring the dignity of all.
The manager builds community among participants, provides holistic student support, and connects students with academic resources to promote persistence and achievement.
The role also leads program planning and implementation, supervises student staff, collaborates with campus partners, and manages program communications, logistics, and data tracking to support continuous improvement. This position combines a variety of skillsets: nursing/STEM knowledge, organization, campus wide event planning, group dynamics and community building, advising and student success, and data tracking /reporting. The ideal candidate will show competency in many, if not most, of these areas.
MajorDuties and Responsibilities
- Builds community within and across cohorts
- Provides holistic advising and individual support to each student in program through regularly scheduled 1:1s and in-class connection
- Tracks student successes and challenges throughout program and follows up with support
- Provides or arranges academic / advising / tutoring support for RC Sciences (Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy, and Physiology)
- Trains, develops, and manages student staff (RAs, mentors, and peer educators)
- Collaborates across multiple campus departments to convene and chair Grant Steering committee
- Creates all content for program promotion, recruitment, registration, and engagement of incoming students each spring
- Directs all aspects of Summer Program
- Recognizes and reduces barriers in all four cohort classes and develops concrete strategies to support measurable student growth throughout the year
- Ensures student familiarity with and use of Regis services and resources
- Drives and implements logistics, outreach, promotion, and planning for summer program and academic year classes, gatherings, and celebrations
- Communicates regularly with new class and families to ensure a full program (25 students) each summer (Required on campus availability: July 13-24) and engagement throughout the year
- Tracks, analyzes, and synthesizes data (qualitative and quantitative) about student successes and challenges throughout program and initiates wide-ranging support protocols
- Liaises with families, community members, external partnerships
- Envisions and implements mentoring program for PUENTE cohorts in partnership with First Gen Success Center, Magis Mentors, and current Regis Student Nursing Association program
- Listens, gathers, collects and compiles data on flow, barriers, changes needed, and reporting of PUENTE grant milestones. Uses information to determine and make necessary program adjustments. Contributes leadership to departmental (CoBe) assessments of programs, services, data, and resources.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional experience with mentoring, advising, patient care, or case management. Experience designing and leading programs
- Must be available to lead PUENTE bridge program on campus from July 13-25
- Spanish language familiarity (not fluency); knowledge of Jesuit values
- BA, RN or Masters in STEM or Nursing
- First Generation or experience working with first generation and diverse populations
- Professional experience in student success, academic advising, program management, or related student support roles in higher education or a comparable setting
- Well-versed in Microsoft ecosystem
- Bilingual (Spanish)
