Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Denver, CO – Through End of School Year
Position OverviewThe Special Education Teacher provides specialized academic and behavioral instruction to high-school students under the supervision of the Special Education Program Administrator. This educator delivers individualized support, collaborates with school teams, and helps implement students’ IEPs in a structured learning environment.

Monday–Friday - Hours:
37.5–40 hours per week - Pay Rate: $48–$52/hr (local)
- Modality:
In-person - Openings: 1 position
- High School Special Education Teacher role
- Working with students in structured instructional programming
- Supporting academic, behavioral, and functional needs
- Candidate may interview with pending CO license, but active license required by start date
- Final caseload and classroom details discussed during interview
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Manage caseload documentation using district systems
- Collaborate with general education teachers and SPED staff
- Communicate with families and participate in required meetings
- Deliver accommodations, modifications, and supplemental instruction
- Support behavioral and social-emotional needs
- Active Colorado teaching license (SPED endorsement preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in special education strongly preferred
- CPR, TB screening, and health certificate if required
- Must meet federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
