Job Summary:

Regis University is seeking Clinical Affiliate Faculty (CAF) to facilitate clinical rotations in the Denver Metro area. CAF are part-time employees hired to teach specific clinical rotations and are responsible for supervising students in patient care environments.

Major

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Orientation: Familiarize yourself with course objectives and clinical outcomes, attend course-specific orientation, orient to the clinical facility and units, complete computer training if needed, communicate with students, and orient students to the nursing units.
  • Clinical Teaching: Follow course clinical guidelines, develop a student schedule, make patient care assignments, evaluate student preparation, supervise students, coordinate observational experiences, hold clinical conferences, and provide ongoing instruction and supervision.
  • Student Evaluation: Utilize the clinical log form, provide feedback, consult with course faculty, notify course faculty of student issues, grade clinical projects, and submit student papers with feedback.
Working Conditions:
  • The University appointment is part-time and temporary, with no fringe benefits.
  • Must maintain current health requirements, training, licensures, and certifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • An active Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado.
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree, or a BSN with a plan to obtain a master's or higher degree.
  • Minimum of two years of full-time professional nursing practice, and one year in an area related to instruction.
Working

Schedule:
  • Clinical Rotations occur year-round, may be 16-96 hours, with shifts of 4-12 hours, and require CAF presence on-site.
  • Scheduled Weekly

    Hours:

    8-24 during the contracted period.
