Highlands Academy is located within the highly sought after corridor near Downtown Denver and has been an established early childhood center serving children Birth-5 years old for over 10 years!

Our center is open year-round with operation hours of 7:30AM-5:30PM.

As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you ll support lead teachers in creating a playful, safe, and engaging environment for children ages 15-36 months. You ll build positive relationships, foster independence, and encourage exploration through open-ended materials, nature, storytelling, music, movement, and more.

• Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing play-based, developmentally appropriate activities
• Supervise and engage with children during free play, group time, outdoor play, and routines
• Promote children s social and emotional development through modeling, guidance, and encouragement
• Assist with daily routines such as snack, diapering/toileting, and cleanup
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and nurturing classroom environment
• Communicate positively with children, families, and team members

• Must hold at least a Level 2 credential in PDIS (completed ECE coursework or relevant degree)
• Experience working with young children (center, home, or informal setting)
• Warm, patient, and playful personality
• Passion for early childhood education and belief in the power of play
• Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team
• Must meet state licensing requirements (health clearances, etc.) and eligible to work in the United States

Salary Range: $35,136 - $44,896/year

This is a full time, full year position. Scheduled work hours are between 8:00-5:00 or 9:00-5:30. Our salary range is based upon education and experience.
