Position SummaryThe Department of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. MSU Denver's Department of Social Work prides itself on a richly talented faculty committed to supporting students as social work scholars, practitioners, and leaders.
We are seeking part-time,
Social Work Affiliate Instructors in Content Areas of Research, Legal, and Policy
. All part-time faculty will work with a Lead Faculty and participate in a content teaching team. Typically, affiliate faculty teach one to two courses per semester, with a maximum of three. Applicants should complete a teaching preference survey:

Responsibilities- Teaching assigned classes in person or online, delivering content, preparing materials, grading, providing feedback, and supporting students.
- Adhering to department policies, maintaining office hours, and complying with evaluation and peer observation policies.
- Juris Doctor degree with two years of relevant experience, OR
- Master's in social work from a CSWE Accredited Program with two years of post-MSWE experience, OR
- Master's in a related field with two years of post-master's experience related to social work.
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited institution.
- Five years of relevant post-MSWE or related master's experience.
- PhD or ABD.
- Doctoral coursework in relevant content areas.
- Teaching experience, especially online, and experience working with diverse, underrepresented, and first-generation students.
Part-time, at-will, on a per-credit-hour basis, usually semester by semester. No benefits. Teaching in person/on campus expected upon hire.
