MSU Denver enrolls over 16,000 students, with nearly 60% being first-generation and over 55% students of color. ResponsibilitiesDance program courses vary from 2 to 3 credit hours and are primarily taught in person. Affiliate faculty duties include but are not limited to: teaching assigned classes in person or online, delivering course content, preparing materials and lesson plans, grading, providing timely feedback, addressing student questions according to policies, providing academic support, maintaining office hours, and complying with evaluation and peer observation policies.
Adaptability to new modes of instruction and sensitivity to diverse student needs are highly encouraged.
Bachelor of Arts in Dance or a related field plus 6 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance or a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred QualificationsMaster of Fine Arts in Dance or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience; or Master of Arts in Dance plus 3 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate in Dance or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience.
Terms of EmploymentPart-time, at-will employees hired per credit hour, usually semester-by-semester. Not eligible for benefits. Teaching assignments depend on budget and enrollment. Candidates will be expected to teach in person upon hire.
