Elections Training Coordinator (Hybrid)

Location:
Hybrid (on‑site and remote).
- Assist with developing and delivering online and in‑person course content that promotes uniformity and best practices.
- Manage certification and training related administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Maintain confidentiality of all voter and personnel information and comply with all State and Department policies regarding professional conduct.
- Plan and schedule in‑person training twice per year in coordination with county regional meetings, where appropriate.
- Coordinate planning and scheduling of other training projects such as new clerk training, tabletop exercises, and internal staff training.
- Maintain current and organized Division records of training courses and materials.
- Assist new trainees with enrolling and navigating the e‑learning platform, and with login issues accessing training courses.
- Accurately track and record course completions and credits earned by enrolled trainees during the applicable certification/recertification period.
- Issue certifications or recertifications to trainees who satisfy the requirements and advise trainees who did not satisfy the requirements that their certifications have lapsed.
- Conduct training evaluations following every in‑person training to solicit participant feedback on the course design, delivery, and content.
- Regularly seek feedback from participants on the course design, delivery, and content of online trainings.
- Synthesize and review course evaluations and online course feedback to identify barriers to learning, gaps in the existing curriculum, and other training needs, and discuss the summarized findings with Division leadership and subject matter experts.
Five (5) years of relevant professional experience in education/training coordination or instructional support, including coordinating logistics such as scheduling, developing training materials, and using common presentation software. OR
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, communications, organizational leadership, public administration, or a closely related field, plus enough remaining years of professional experience to total five (5) years. Preferred Qualifications and Competencies- Prior State Service related to the work assigned to the position.
- Professional experience designing and preparing training resources, handouts, presentations, activities, and other materials.
- Experience presenting in‑person courses to adult learners.
- Experience facilitating group activities.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs.
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS), e‑learning tools, or virtual training platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and record‑keeping.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience coordinating logistics such as schedules, venues, and materials.
- Experience evaluating training effectiveness and adjusting content or methods.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and de‑escalate situations with a variety of stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience reading legislation and rule and tracking changes.
- Experience with document and content accessibility tools.
- Content design experience.
- Learning program management experience.
- Project and process management experience.
- Experience managing and coordinating multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience creating and maintaining online learning courses.
- Training skills, detail oriented, written and verbal communication, establishing interpersonal relationships, prioritization, critical thinking, problem solving, commitment to diversity, flexibility, confidentiality, ethical judgement, and integrity.
- Travel will be required to provide on‑site trainings, complete special training projects, and for possible professional development opportunities.
- Position requires passing a criminal background check.
- Must be a Colorado resident at time of application.
