The Communications & Community Engagement (CCE) department provides library staff and customers with accurate and timely information; creates marketing and engagement efforts that elevate Denver Public Library’s brand; designs and delivers inclusive, dynamic special events; and fosters sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships. Through communications, marketing, events, and community-centered collaboration, CCE ensures Denver Public Library effectively connects with our communities, enhances public awareness of library resources and programs, and builds strong relationships that support equitable access, lifelong learning, and long-term growth.

Our Position

The Denver Public Library is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to serve as a core contributor to our visual communications strategy. This position is responsible for the conceptualization, development, and execution of high-level design and multimedia content that supports the Library’s mission, programs, and community services. As a central creative resource, the Graphic Designer translates complex organizational goals into cohesive visual narratives.

This role demands a sophisticated understanding of layout principles, aesthetic theory, and brand management to ensure a unified identity across all digital and physical touchpoints.
