Senior Manager, Brand Journalism & Content Strategy

Responsibilities

• Lead the editorial strategy and content roadmap for the DaVita Newsroom, including platform redesign, content planning, and audience engagement
• Develop and implement brand journalism initiatives that support enterprise priorities and elevate DaVita’s thought leadership
• Provide counsel on external storytelling efforts across owned and earned channels, ensuring consistency, quality, and strategic alignment
• Collaborate with a team of content creators, editors, and external partners to produce high-impact stories, videos, and multimedia assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Legal, Clinical, Operations, and more—to ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with enterprise objectives
• Work cross functionally to amplify key narratives and integrate storytelling across campaigns
• Monitor content performance and audience insights to inform strategy and optimize engagement

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• 7+ years of experience in editorial strategy, brand journalism, or content marketing
• Proven experience managing content teams and cross-functional projects
• Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills across formats (written, video, multimedia)
• Familiarity with content management systems, SEO, and analytics tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic thinker with ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives
• Detail-oriented with strong project management and relationship-building skills
