This is a role based out of our Westminster, CO office. The position is a salaried role and includes eligibility for overtime pay. Matrix is seeking entry drafting professionals to join our team; ideal candidates will have a solid foundation of experience with CAD-based software, a strong aptitude for learning, good written and oral communication skills, and a willingness to learn cross-discipline design.
Key Responsibilities- Work in a safe manner at all times. Adhere to Matrix and client-established safety standards when appropriate.
- Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
- Interface with the client on small projects to obtain and communicate project information related to design parameters, schedules, and budgets.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including proposal, project log, WBS, memos, letters, meeting minutes, scope changes, and related documents.
- Gather field data and prepare project specifications.
- Coordinate design activities of team members in preparation of construction documents.
- Prepare construction scopes of work, bills of material, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary construction documents.
- Maintain and/or develop positive client relationships on assigned projects.
- Associate degree (AAS) or Certificate in CAD software, or related field required.
- Entry-level to two (2) years of experience in the industrial design arena.
- Proficient with AutoCAD (preferred).
- Proficient in Revit.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship.
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- May perform industrial field work with exposure to hazardous locations, inclement weather, moving parts, noise, ladders, uneven ground, and stairs.
- May involve exposure to a wide range of known food allergens.
